'Everyday,' 'Ill Manors,' 'Wasteland' screened at Toronto fest
TORONTO — Berkshire Axis Media has nabbed all Canadian rights to Michael Winterbottom’s “Everyday,” Ben Drew’s “Ill Manors” and Rowan Athale’s helming bow “Wasteland,” BAM CEO John Carbone announced Tuesday.
The deal was negotiated by Iain Taylor and Glen Wood for BAM, and Steven Kelliher for Bankside Films, which repped the three U.K. pics at the Toronto Film Festival.
Last week Oscilloscope announced it had acquired U.S. rights to heist pic “Wasteland,” which world preemed in Toronto’s Discovery program.
Carbone, who founded BAM in 2010, said: “All three films are the best of contemporary British cinema.”
