Arts Alliance inks Ecuador pact

SuperCines take Theater Management System

LONDON — Arts Alliance Media continues to increase its footprint in Latin America, signing its first digital software deal in Ecuador with the country’s leading exhibition circuit, SuperCines.

AAM’s theater management system, known as Screenwriter, will be installed in more than 150 SuperCines screens. Cinevise, a Miami and Sao Paulo-based digital cinema solutions supplier, will handle the installation.

Eric Stevens, commercial director of AAM, said, “The digital cinema market in Latin America is beginning to move faster and we hope many other exhibitors will follow the digital path taken by SuperCines.”

The deal comes less than two weeks after AAM pacted with Mexico’s Cinemex to install Screenwriter in its 2,000 screens.

AAM and Cinevise have worked together since 2011, when they signed the first software licensing agreement to deliver AAM’s theater management system to Brazilian exhib Cinemais’ theaters.
