Archstone Distribution has acquired worldwide sales rights excluding Canada to the comedy “My Awkward Sexual Adventure,” premiering at The Toronto Intl. Film Festival next month.
Producers are Jonas Chernick, who also scripted, and Juliette Hagopian. Chernick plays a conservative accountant who enlists the help of an exotic dancer, portrayed by Emily Hampshire (“Cosmopolis”), to win back his unsatisfied ex-girlfriend.
Pic co-stars Vik Sahay (“American Reunion”) and is directed by Sean Garrity, who won the best first feature at TIFF for 2001’s “Inertia.”
Deal was negotiated between Archstone’s President Brady Bowen and Chernick and Hagopian.
