ARC nabs laffer ‘Family Weekend’

Olesya Rulin stars 16-year-old overachiever

ARC Entertainment has acquired domestic theatrical and home entertainment rights to the comedy “Family Weekend,” starring Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Modine and Olesya Rulin.

Pic is directed by Benjamin Epps and follows a 16-year-old overachiever (played by Rulin), who has grown increasingly frustrated with her parents’ lack of support and guidance.

Family Weekend” is written by Matt K. Turner and produced by Adam Saunders and Chris Aronoff through their Footprint Features banner in association with the Bedford Falls Co. Youmi N. Ma exec produced.

The deal was negotiated by ARC Entertainment’s Rich Goldberg and Peter Jarowey and the Film Sales Co.’s Andrew Herwitz on behalf of the filmmakers.

Recent ARC Entertainment releases include “Nitro Circus,” “The Way,” “Seven Days in Utopia,” “Red Dog” and “Senna.”
