Universal Studios launches 'Transformers: The Ride-3D'

Universal Studios Hollywood launched “Transformers: The Ride-3D” as its newest attraction at the theme park, with Thursday’s red carpet premiere that brought out Steven Spielberg, Ron Meyer, Steve Burke and Judd Apatow, as well as Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, who voice Transformers Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Thesp Glenn Morshower, who plays a general in the pics and appears in the ride, took part in a pyrotechnics show with stunt performers battling attacking Decepticons to introduce the ride.

“We’ve pushed the boundaries of 3D, hyperrealism and immersive visual effects to transport our guests, physically and viscerally, into the world of ‘Transformers,'” said Universal Creative’s Mark Woodbury.
