Michael Berry-directed indie stars Ed Harris, Eva Longoria

Aden Young and and Michael Ray Escamilla will join Ed Harris, Michael Pena, Eva Longoria and Amy Madigan in the indie movie “Frontera,” which Michael Berry is directing from a script he co-wrote with Juan Luis Moulinett III.

Story follows two illegal immigrants who are inadvertently caught up in the murder of a sheriff’s wife in a U.S. border town.

Rise Entertainment’s Michael Witherill is financing and producing the pic, while Rise’s Alex Witherill, Tracey K. Price and William Andrew will co-produce. Production will begin shortly in New Mexico.

CAA packaged the project and will represent its domestic distribution rights.

Young recently appeared in “Killer Elite” and will soon be seen as Dr. Frankenstein in Stuart Beattie’s upcoming Lionsgate pic “I, Frankenstein.” Thesp next stars in the Sundance Channel’s upcoming legal drama “Rectify,” from Oscar winner Ray McKinnon (“The Accountant”). He’s repped by CAA and Shanahan Management.

Escamilla, who has appeared on Showtime’s “The Big C” and “Dexter,” is repped by Bauman, Redanty & Shaul.
