Last year’s move to April must have paid off for the annual exhibitor conference CinemaCon as event organizers announced the 2013 edition will run April 15-18 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The National Assn. of Theater Owners, which took over the confab and renamed it CinemaCon in 2011, bumped back the gathering by a month last year to give studios more time to showcase summer tentpoles. As a result, CinemaCon featured presentations from all six major studios — the first time that’s happened in more than a decade.
Event is set to run a week earlier than last year, however.
“With an amazing turnout and event in only our second year, we cannot be more thankful for our friends in distribution and exhibition for their support of CinemaCon,” said event managing director Mitch Neuhauser. “Now entering our third year, we are excited with what this year’s convention will bring and accept the challenge to make CinemaCon even better.”
For the tradeshow floor, event organizers partnered with the International Cinema Technology Assn. and the National Assn. of Concessionaires.
