Ashley Hinshaw, Kim Shaw join racing biopic

Ashley Hinshaw and Kim Shaw have joined the cast of the racing biopic “Snake & Mongoose,” and will play the respective wives of drag racing legends Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen.

Jesse Williams and Richard Blake star as the longtime friends and rivals. Noah Wyle has also joined the cast as the toy-company exec who elevated the sport by introducing non-automotive sponsorship.

Wayne Holloway will direct from a script he penned with Alan Paradise. Stephen Nemeth will produce along with Robin Broidy through Nemeth’s Rhino Films and Broidy’s Entertainment Universe, which will also finance; Prudhomme and McEwen will serve as exec producers along with Paradise.

The ICM and Liebman Entertainment-repped Hinshaw was most recently seen in Fox’s “Chronicle” and can be seen next in the indie “Cherry.” The Innovative Artists and Glasser-Black Management repped Shaw’s credits include the MTV skein “I Just Want My Pants Back” and USA’s “Royal Pains.”
