Sony Pictures Classics has acquired worldwide rights to “Smashed,” which premiered at Sundance.
Pic was directed by James Ponsoldt and produced by Jonathan Schwartz and Andrea Sperling of Super Crispy Entertainment and by Jennifer Cochis. The film is exec produced by Audrey and Zygi Wilf.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aaron Paul, Octavia Spencer, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and Mary Kay Place star in the story of a marriage that thrives on a shared fondness for music, laughter and getting smashed.
The deal was negotiated by UTA and CAA, on behalf of Super Crispy Entertainment, as well as attorneys Lawrence Kopeikin and Elsa Ramo.
