Latido sells Darin starrer ‘Homicide’

Spain's Tornasol, Argentina's BD Cine, Haddock, among producers

Madrid-based sales consortium Latido Films has acquired international sales rights to thriller “Thesis on a Homicide,” toplining Argentinean star Ricardo Darin (“The Secret in Their Eyes”).

In Hernan Goldfrid’s “Homicide,” Darin plays a criminal law lecturer who is convinced that one of his best students (Alberto Amman, “Lope”) has committed a brutal murder. His investigation becomes an obsession.

Production is produced by Gerardo Herrero’s Tornasol Films and Castafiore Films in Spain, Daniel Burman and Diego Dubcovsky’s BD Cine in Argentina in association with Argentina’s Haddock Films, which co-produced “Secret” with Tornasol. Both Spanish pubcaster TVE and Argentinean commercial network Telefe, now a key backer of Argentinean films, have pre-bought “Homicide.”
