Wins U.S. in Progress Prize at Champs-Elysees fest

Helmer Hannah Fidell’s “A Teacher” nabbed the Champs-Elysees Film Festival’s U.S. in Progress Prize on Saturday night in Paris.

Cine Plus is offering a TV acquisition to the French distributor of the film, while Sherman will receive a Producers Network 2013 invitation. Finally, “Teacher” will play in the upcoming American Film Festival in Wroclaw, Poland.

U.S. in Progress is a joint initiative supporting Stateside indies, backed by the American Film Festival in Wroclaw, the first Champs-Elysees fest and Black Rabbit Film. The aim of the program is to present U.S. indie films in post-production to Euro buyers.
