Buyers snap up ‘Storage’

Horror sci-fier will play Europe and Asia

London-based international sales agent Independent has closed multiple deals on helmer Johannes Roberts’ horror sci-fi “Storage 24.”

Pic, which stars Noel Clarke, sold to Klockworx in Japan, Focus & Co. in South Korea, IPA in Thailand and Vietnam, Lark Films in Hong Kong, Bier Film in Turkey and WEG in India.

The film, which also stars Antonia Campbell-Hughes and Laura Haddock, pre-sold before Cannes to Universal for the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, German-speaking Europe, Scandinavia and Benelux.

Story, written by Clarke, Davie Fairbanks and Marc Small, is set in London after a military cargo plane has crashed, leaving its highly classified contents strewn across the city.

“Buyers are really responding to the high-concept story and outstanding special effects,” said Independent m.d. of film sales Andrew Orr.
