Parguayan action-thriller “7 Boxes” has been sold to Arrow Films for release in the UK and Ireland next summer.
“Boxes,” co-directed by Paraguayan-based filmmakers Juan Carlos Maneglia and Tana Schémbori, centers on a teenage delivery boy in a low-income Paraguayan market who must transport a load of mysterious and dangerous boxes to the edge of town.
The film opened in Paraguay in August to strong box office. It will also screen in the New Directors section of the San Sebastian Festival at the end of September.
Deal was negotiated by Shoreline Entertainment
, which is handling worldwide sales.
