A few quick awards notes for Friday

— In case you missed it, the 2012 Grammys will be Feb. 10 at Staples Center. Nominations will be broadcast again in primetime, on Dec. 5.

— Michael Mann will lead the main jury at the 69th Venice Film Festival. Nick Vivarelli of Variety has details.

— “The Clios: World’s Best Commercials” will air on NBC in a one-hour primetime special July 25, hosted by JB Smoove and produced by JUMA Entertainment.
