HFPA slates Golden Globes dates

Noms announcement coming Dec. 13 for Jan. 13 ceremony

The official timetable for the 70th annual Golden Globes, scheduled for Jan. 13, has been set by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn.

Nominations for the kudos will be announced in the pre-dawn hours Dec. 13, preceded by the Cecil B. DeMille Award announcement Nov. 1.

Starting at 5 p.m. at the Beverly Hilton, the Golden Globes will be televised live throughout the country on NBC. Last year’s broadcast averaged 16.9 million viewers.

Submission deadlines for potential contenders is Nov. 2. Nomination ballots, which will be mailed by Nov. 29, are due Dec. 10. Final ballots will be mailed Dec. 24 and will be due from voters Jan. 9.
