Former film academy exec director Bruce Davis and Ron Yerxa have become co-heads
of the foreign-language committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

The pair will assume the role previously held by Mark Johnson, who was not reelected to the Academy's Board of Governors. Davis retired from his post as exec director last year after more than 20 years of service.

Davis and Yerxa, the producer with such credits as "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Little Children," will face ongoing questions about the foreign-language category's voting methodology and eligibility requirements for the Oscars.
