Google will invest $200 million to market its YouTube video channels, and expand into Europe by funding several dozen more channels in the U.K. and France, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
Google is pleased with the results of the channels, which started rolling out this year. There are nearly 100 of them so far, launched with a wide variety of partners. Ten of the channels average more than a million viewers per week. The WSJ said the company has secured $150 million of commitments from advertisers for commercials.YouTube to boost European channels biz
