New Vevo skein to tour tune towns

Vevo, the online music-vid platform fed by three of the four major labels, announced that its new original series, “Sound + City,” will launch June 4 at noon ET.

Hosted by Desi Sanchez, “Sound + City” explores the music scene in all of its permutations in various cities. The first season covers Nashville, Miami, Brooklyn, San Francisco, Portland and Atlanta.

All six 3-4-minute episodes will premiere simultaneously and be made available on-demand Monday. Hip-hop artist Chainz appears in the Atlanta segment.

According to Vevo, “Sound + City” is one of six new series on the entertainment site that “tell musical stories from the fans’ perspective.”
