NBCUniversal has expanded the role of a handful of key sales execs, some to strengthen its digital footprint, several months after it upped Linda Yaccarino to oversee all of the media conglom’s sales and marketing.Scott Schiller becomes exec VP for digital ad sales across NBCUniversal’s broadcast and cable brands including NBC.com, USA.com, Bravotv.com, Oxygen.com, Syfy.com, Accesshollywood.com, E! Online, G4tv.com, Stylenetwork.com as well as Fandango, Daily Candy, Television Without Pity and the partnership with Comcast’s Xfinity.com portal. Krishan Bhatia becomes exec VP for digital strategy and operations, overseeing ad sales strategy, operations and account management for the digital portfolio. Barry Fischer takes the new role of exec VP, sales analytics. Earl Marshall, former CFO of the NBC Sports Group, has been named exec VP and chief financial officer of ad sales. And Mike Mayer, who worked at Turner, ESPN and the Weather Channel, has been appointed senior VP, sales solutions. All executives report to Yaccarino. John Shea, exec VP and NBCU’s chief marketing officer for Integrated Media, will join the ad sales division “to drive strategy, innovation and creative for cross-portfolio ad deals,” the company said, reporting jointly to Yaccarino and Lauren Zalaznick, NBCUniversal’s chairman, entertainment & digital networks and integrated media. “With these important additions to our previously announced senior leadership team, we are well suited to serve our brand and advertising partners. They each strengthen our team with a wealth of experience from across the business and an understanding of how to effectively manage the execution of our sales programs in the rapidly changing digital landscape,” NBCU said in the statement.
