BERLIN — NBCUniversal Intl. Television Distribution has inked a multi-year licensing deal with Maxdome, Germany’s largest online video store, for German VOD rights to a broad selection of current and upcoming feature films and library classics.

The agreement covers such titles as “Battleship,” “Ted” and “Snow White and the Huntsman,” as well as “American Gangster,” “The Fast and the Furious,” “Notting Hill” and “Inglourious Basterds.”

Maxdome managing director Markus Haertenstein said, “Closing this deal means that we are now cooperating with all major studios. Therefore, we are able to offer our customers access to a large variety of high-class content.”

Maxdome, part of the Munich-based ProSiebenSat.1 group, offers more than 45,000 titles, including feature films, series, sports and children’s fare.

Videos can be accessed via computer, Internet-connected TVs and set-top-boxes for individual rental, as a subscription or download.
