In the new post, Menin will focus on marketing and distribution opportunities for the videogame-centric broadband channel with broadcast and cable nets. She will report to Jay Sampson, the Machinima’s exec veep of global sales, marketing and advertising operations.
“Machinima has seen explosive growth in the TV category and has enjoyed partnerships to date with many networks including A&E, AMC, and Showtime, to name a few,” said Sampson. “Increasingly, Machinima has seen marketers and programmers from television networks turn to Machinima to drive immediate tune-in and create sustained buzz by marketing to Machinima’s core male 18-34 demographic.”
Prior to Machinima, Menin was head of Yahoo’s Entertainment and Travel sales strategy. She has also held senior posts at AOL, Parade, MTV Networks, Rolling Stone and Variety.
