The International 3D Society will fete Ang Lee with the Harold Lloyd Award.
The award, which celebrates filmmakers who have achieved groundbreaking artistic and technical 3D innovation, will honor Lee’s work on “Life of Pi.”
“Harold Lloyd was a life-long advocate for 3D movies, but the technology available to him could never bring this dream to life,” said Society’s prexy Jim Chabin
. “In joining our previous honorees, James Cameron and Martin Scorsese, Mr. Lee has realized that dream.”
The Society’s Creative Arts Award will be held Feb. 6 at the BevHills Hotel.
