Butch Hartman, creator of popular animated series “The Fairly Odd Parents” and “Danny Phantom,” among others, is expanding the reach of his media through a new interactive reading project with Ruckus Media Group.
The group, which focuses on family entertainment, will release two Hartman originals — “The Green Weenie: Pooch Patrol” and “Tickle Monsters” — for their digital “Ruckus Reader” as well as mobile platforms, such as Apple’s iOS and the Barnes and Noble Nook e-reader. The Hartman deal, brokered by the Gotham Group, gives Ruckus Media Group exclusive worldwide rights in all languages for the two projects. “Weenie,” which is planned to drop by the end of the year, lets kids play as an adventure-seeking dog with a cadre of canine companions; “Tickle,” to be released shortly after ”Weenie,” unravels a story of two brothers and the mysterious creatures that live under their bed.Hartman in new reading venture
