‘Celebrity Apprentice’ app bows

ACTV8 has second-screen content deal with Mark Burnett

Tech firm ACTV8 has debuted its interactive “Celebrity Apprentice” app, the first activation of the company’s deal with Mark Burnett’s One Three Television.

The synchronized app became interactive starting with Sunday’s episode of the reality skein. It can be downloaded through the iTunes store and will later be available for Android.

As previously announced in December, ACTV8 is has forged an agreement to develop second-screen content for Burnett’s shows. Other series produced by Burnett include “Survivor” and “The Voice.”

The feature will include exclusive content, info on the celebs, trivia and games. Users can also win prizes including a Buick Verano and $50,000 in cash, half of which goes to a charity of the winner’s choice.

The app features ActvAD technology, which will enhance advertising and prevent users from skipping ads.
