Avid announced today at NAB that they have developed a group of workflow solutions designed to give news organizations and broadcasters the freedom to create their content anywhere and then distribute that content everywhere.
The company’s solutions propose to deal with issues across the categories of distributed production, multi-platform distribution, server and storage, and broadcast graphics. One new solution – Interplay Sphere – makes it possible for users to work with apps like Media Composer and NewsCutter to acquire, access, edit and distribute stories across multiple time zones and locations. This makes it possible to monetize the content across a broad range of digital and social distribution channels. Avid has also introduced a search and storage solution for the volumes of content gathered by journalists and news organizations. The new Avid ISIS 2000 can be used across Avid Interplay installations as a way of searching for content, browsing for content and increasing production storage. Avid Motion Graphics have also been optimized to work at an accelerated pace with the latest GPU and I/O technology. This app makes it possible to develop graphics quickly using a real-time 2D/3D rendering engine.Avid develops news products for the cloud
