ESPN 3D gets in the ring

Cabler hosted boxing matches at CES

ESPN 3D hosted boxing matches Thursday in conjunction with Top Rank Boxing.

The mathces were televised in 3D from from ESPN 3D’s exhibit space in Central Hall, using the Sony HDC-P1 camera system in 3D rigs supplied by the Pace Cameron Group with signals being sent through a Sony MVX-8000x production switcher.

Production was the latest ESPN event to use 3D technology from Sony Electronics, the technology sponsor of ESPN 3D.

Winners of the matches included welterweight Andrew Ruiz, super featherweight Jonathan Alcantra and featherweight Antonio Hernandez and junior middleweight Javier Flores.
