Big names take over in downtown L.A.

Videogame publishers rolled out the red carpet to fete their tentpole titles this week during E3, with Microsoft taking over downtown L.A.’s Exchange LA club in one of the showier June 5 events for “Halo 4,” while Ubisoft paired up with TwitchTV, the Game Station, Samsung and the Frag Dolls to take over the Belasco Theater for “Far Cry 3,” whose guests included Rick Malambri. Maker Studios celebrated the one billionth view of its “The Yogscast” YouTube channel at W Hollywood’s Drais nightclub, attended by “Yogscast”-ers Simon Lane, Lewis Brindley, Horatio Sanz and Chad Quandt.
