The Cinema Guild has acquired U.S. home video, digital and non-theatrical distribution rights to Ben Rivers’ “Two Years At Sea.”
The film will open theatrically Friday at Anthology Film Archives in New York. It will be released on DVD and VOD in early 2013.
“Two Years at Sea” premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it won the Fipresci prize.
Story centers on a man who lives in the middle of the forest, passing the time with strange projects and living the dream he realized while working at sea.
The deal was negotiated by Ryan Krivoshey of the Cinema Guild with Rivers.
