As the second-highest-ranking exec in her division, Teran is responsible for all business and legal matters pertaining to broadcast and cable network distribution, digital new media, and corporate business development. She was the lead lawyer in Fox’s winning bid for World Cup soccer rights in 2018 and 2022. “The international importance of soccer has long been a big focus for us, so to capture the U.S. rights signifies both soccer’s growth here and its key role for Fox,” she says. The trilingual (English, Spanish and French) exec plays a major role in digital and new media strategy and negotiates “TV Everywhere” rights across all of Fox’s sports leagues. “I wasn’t a sports fan when I joined 13 years ago, but I’ve become quite an avid one now,” she says.

The next decade: “With technology, the model will always be changing. Our goal is to anticipate change so that we can effectively adapt and meet the new demand for entertainment and sports across all platforms.”
