John Lithgow’s Gingrich PR Release on ‘Colbert’

“The Colbert Report” had an utterly inspired idea: Have John Lithgow do a dramatic reading of the press release that Newt Gingrich’s campaign sent out after the presidential candidate triggered a firestorm within the Republican Party.

Lithgow turns up about halfway through, but Colbert saves the best line for last: “I am sure that won back all of Newt’s supporters that haven’t just watched a ‘Dexter’ marathon.”
