BermanBraun alum Andy Weil has been tapped as veep of comedy development for Universal Television.
Weil’s hire rounds out the newly renamed studio’s development team under the direction of exec veep Bela Bajaria. Weil reports to Tracey Pakosta, who joined Universal as senior veep of comedy development in September. “Andy has great creative instincts, strong relationships, and a good track record in selling comedies,” Bajaria said in announcing the appointment.
