Turner Sports exec Christina Miller has taken on the additional position of general manager of NBA Digital.
Miller will remain senior veep of Turner sports strategy, marketing and promotions, while shedding what had been her complimentary role as senior VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises.
With NBA Digital, which is jointly managed by the basketball league and Turner, Miller will oversee day-to-day operations, programming, editorial, e-commerce and marketing for the NBA Digital portfolio. That encompasses NBA TV, NBA.com, WNBA.com, NBADLeague.com and NBA League Pass, as well as related broadband and wireless endeavors.
Miller replaces Bryan Perez, who has taken a position with AEG. With Turner, Miller has and will continue to manage relationships between league partners and Turner television and digital properties, in addition to supervising sports programming scheduling and marketing.
She reports to Turner Sports COO and exec veepee Lenny Daniels and NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver.
“Christina is an ideal fit to oversee the day-to-day operations of our digital assets,” said Silver, adding that her “expertise and leadership will continue to fuel our success.”
