Immediately following its fourth season debut, “Hardcore Pawn” has been given a fifth season renewal by TruTV.
Popular reality skein drew 1.9 million viewers for its first episode at 9 p.m. Tuesday and then increased that figure to 2.2 million a half-hour later for another new episode. In the 18-49 demo, the two episodes drew 816,000 and 1 million viewers, respectively. Production on a 13-episode fifth season will begin later this year. Show centers on American Jewelry and Loan, a Detroit-based family-owned pawn shop. Skein, which launched in August 2010 and is exec produced by Natalka Znak, Claire O’Donohoe, Mike Gamson and Richard Dominick, is produced by reality shingle Zodiak USA.TruTV renews ‘Hardcore Pawn’
