TruTV orders up ‘Guinness … Gone Wild’

Contestants try to beat obscure records in show

TruTV has ordered a pilot for “Guinness World Records Gone Wild,” in which contestants try to beat obscure Guinness records.

Jamie Kennedy is on board as host of the pilot, produced by High Noon Entertainment (“Cake Boss”).

Among the more unusual records that contestants will seek to top are the fastest time to jump over three oncoming cars, highest dive into 12 inches of water, most kicks to the head in one minute, most live cockroaches held in the mouth and most paintballs to hit a person in 30 seconds.

Exec producers are High Noon’s Pamela Healey and Jim Berger, with Angel Annussek exec producing for TruTV and Rob Molloy as e.p. for Guinness World Records.
