TNT adds ‘Hornet’s Nest’ to movie sked

Cabler says 'Mystery' franchise to extend into 2012

TNT has added “Hornet’s Nest” to its list of “Mystery Movie Night” entries, with the franchise now confirmed to run next year as well.

Pic, based on the Patricia Cornwell bestseller, is set to star “ER” vet Sherry Stringfield and Virginia Madsen. Robbie Amell, Michael Boatman and Michael Silver will co-star.

“Hornet’s Nest” will be adapted for TV by Dee Johnson. Cornwell and Jim Head will exec produce.

Cabler is launching the movie series Tuesday with “Innocent,” based on the tome by Scott Turow. Other titles to air in December include “Hide,” “Silent Witness,” “Good Morning Killer” and “Deck the Halls.”

In addition to “Hornet’s Nest,” three other pics will be included for the 2012 slate.
