Series gets 12-episode order for season two

TLC has renewed one of its most successful series, “Extreme Couponing,” for a 12-episode second season.

Since its April 6 premiere, the skein has averaged 1.9 million viewers overall in its debut season, which concludes June 16.

” ‘Extreme Couponing’ has struck a chord with our viewers and has sparked a passion in people who are looking for creative ways to save money,” TLC g.m. Amy Winter said. “The series is creating even more super shoppers, and we are lining our shelves with their remarkable stories.”

Production on season two has begun, with eyes on a September premiere.
