Derek Theler has been cast in the ABC Family pilot “Baby Daddy.”

Half-hour comedy is about a twentysomething who becomes a surprise dad to a baby girl when she’s left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend. He decides to raise the baby with the help of his mother, brother, best buddy and close female friend, who is harboring a secret crush on him.

Theler, who’s repped by Paradigm, was recently in bigscreen pics “Get Me to the Greek” and “Valentine’s Day” and the CW series “90210.”

Also cast is Cameron Deane Stewart, who recently had a role in the popular Nickelodeon skein “iCarly” and the Lifetime telepic “Justice for Natalee Holloway.”

Pilot was written by Dan Berendsen (“The Nine Lives of Chloe King”), who also serves as exec producer.

Theler is repped by Paradigm.
