Terrence Howard offered ‘Crew Six’ lead

'Hallmark Hall of Fame' pic to begin production next month

Terrence Howard has been offered the lead role in ABC’s Hallmark Hall of Fame telepic “Crew Six.”

Darnell Martin will direct the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Atlanta next month.

Her previous helming efforts include episodic TV work such as “The Mentalist,” “Detroit 1-8-7” and “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.”

She directed 2008’s “Cadillac Records” for the bigscreen.

Hallmark had a 16-year affiliation with CBS that ended in the spring when the Eye decided not to renew a deal that called for commiting to three movies a year.

The first “Hall of Fame” production to be aired by the Alphabet will be “Have a Little Faith,” from author and sportswriter Mitch Albom.

Pic, which airs Nov. 27, stars Laurence Fishburne, Bradley Whitford and Anika Noni Rose.

Jon Avnet is directing.
