LONDON — Commercial broadcaster ITV has a new exec looking after acquisitions following Zai Bennett’s appointment as controller of BBC3 last month.
Emma Tennant, ITV’s controller of digital channels, was appointed acting director of acquisitions and digital channels in late December after Bennett’s exit.
It remains to be seen if Tennant, who joined ITV from Living TV Group in 2005, will land the gig permanently. She is credited with helping to transform ITV3, a mainstream, femme-skewed channel, into one of the U.K.’s most popular digital webs. Tennant also oversees children’s channel CITV.
