Syfy has upped senior veep Michael Engleman to exec VP of marketing and global brand strategy. Engleman will continue to report to Dave Howe, prexy of Syfy and Chiller, and will oversee all marketing activities for both networks in the new role.
Engleman’s duties also expand to cover Syfy’s non-television assets, including Syfy Ventures, Syfy Films and Syfy Games. He’ll continue to oversee the net’s international brand.
Engleman joined Syfy in 2008 as VP and creative director; he developed campaigns for “Warehouse 13,” “Being Human” and “Alphas,” and came to the NBCUniversal cabler from MTV Networks’ CMT.
