4.1 million for debut is tops in network history

A&E set a record with 4.1 million viewers tuning in for the Tuesday premiere of spinoff “Storage Wars: Texas.”

Episode, which airs at 10:30 p.m., was the most-watched premiere of any original series launch in network history. The 2.1 million viewers in the 25-54 demo was also a record-setter.

The original “Storage Wars” began a year ago and is currently in the middle of its second season. The reality skein remains the cabler’s No. 1 show.

“Storage Wars: Texas” is produced by Thom Beers’ Original Prods.
