Starz won’t return to ‘Camelot’

Series gets cut after one season

Starz has decided not to renew drama series “Camelot” for a second season.

Series, the first greenlit project by Chris Albrecht as Starz topper, starred Jamie Campbell Bower, Eva Green and Joseph Fiennes, aired 10 episodes from April through June 10 (with a sneak preview in February). The official April premiere aud of 1.1 million overall viewers was a Starz record for a new original series debut, and settled in for an audience of just around 1 million for the original airing of the finale.

“Camelot” drew significant numbers from U.K. aud on Channel 4. Canal Plus France was also among its international outlets.

Starz will premiere “Torchwood: Miracle Day,” on July 8.
