Cabler sets third-season order for 26 episodes
Spike has renewed reality series “Auction Hunters” for a third season of 26 episodes, including a live seg set for early 2012.
Show follows Allen Haff and Tom Jones as they scour abandoned storage units for valuables; on the live show, the hunters will crack open a particularly promising pod.
“Auction Hunters” sports seven locations this season, ranging across the U.S. from New Orleans to Brooklyn to Hawaii.
The show’s second season averaged 1.7 million viewers and performed well with Spike’s target 18-49 male demo. The timeslot switch to Tuesday nights at 10 helped the show rise by 53% in total viewers for its second season.
