Showtime is close to naming studio vet Trisha Cardoso as its new PR topper.
Cardoso was a longtime Paramount Network TV praiser who most recently has worked as a PR and philanthropy consultant to clients including Chuck Lorre and James Burrows.
Cardoso is poised to move into the job vacated in August by Richard Licata, who has reunited with his former Showtime boss, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt, as head of PR for the Peacock’s entertainment wing.
Cardoso served an eight-year tenure at Paramount TV, starting in 1993. During that time she worked closely with a number of top CBS and Showtime execs, which made her a natural fit for the opening at Showtime.
