Showtime is delving into the life of the co-founder of Death Row Records with the docu “Suge Knight.”
Film will be directed by “Training Day” helmer Antoine Fuqua, who will produce with Bradley J. Fischer.
Pay cabler continues to ramp up its docu division. Later recently aired “The Love We Make,” directed by Albert Maysles and Bradley Kaplan and featuring Paul McCartney.
Also, the U2 docu “From the Sky Down” will premiere Oct. 28. Pic looks back at the album “Achtung Baby,” which celebrates its 20th anni this year.
Knight’s Death Row label was the home to several of rap’s biggest names, including Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Death Row lost momentum, however, after Knight was jailed in the late 1990s.
