Local webs nab 'Date My Mom,' 'Tough Love'

Shine Intl., the sales and distribution arm of Elisabeth Murdoch’s Shine Group, has secured deals for six formats in Central and Eastern Europe.

In Ukraine, TET TV will make local versions of “Date My Mom” and “Tough Love.”

Also included are a Russian version of “Style By Jury,” a re-commission of “Single Moms” in the Czech Republic, and Polsat’s order for season two of “Must Be the Music.”

In the region, Shine has done strong biz on “Must Be the Music,” and “MasterChef” scored for Nova Channel in Croatia, with localized versions due to bow this year in Romania and the Ukraine.

Following last month’s regional sales mart Discop, held in Budapest, Shine Intl. said it now has more formats in production in Central and Eastern Europe than ever before.
