TV group acquires remaining 26%
BERLIN — Europe’s biggest broadcasting conglom, RTL Group, has acquiring the 26% share it did not already own in Croatian TV unit RTL Hrvatska.RTL said it had reached agreements with Croatian partners Atlantic and Agrokor for their respective 13% shares in RTL Hrvatska, which controls RTL Televizija, launched in 2003, and RTL 2, which went on air in January. RTL increased its share in the unit from 33% to 74% in 2006. RTL Televizija was market leader in the key 18-49 demo last year, reporting an audience share of 24.5%. Atlantic and Agrokor will keep a seat on RTL Hrvatska’s supervisory board.
