Talkshow also simulcast on other Discovery nets

Rosie O’Donnell returned to the talkshow circuit Monday as her OWN skein debuted to 497,000 viewers.

Slotted at 7 p.m., “The Rosie Show” was also simulcast across four other Discovery-owned nets — TLC, ID, Discovery Fit & Health and Planet Green — to get additional sampling. When those nets are included, “Rosie” was seen by 1.5 million viewers and was the No. 2 most-watched cable talkshow of the day in the 25-54 female demo, following “Chelsea Lately.” E!’s latenight staple received a big bump as the leadout following the Kim Kardashian wedding special.

“Rosie” was followed an hour later by “Oprah’s Lifeclass,” where talkshow queen Oprah Winfrey looks back and discusses some of her more iconic episodes. “Lifeclass” garnered 333,000 on its home channel and 1.2 million total.

O’Donnell was the longtime talkshow host of the syndicated and Warner Bros.-produced “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” which ran from 1996-2002.
