Series mark first skedding moves by new topper Peter Liguori

Oprah Winfrey/Discovery joint venture OWN has announced four new pickups, with preem dates for this summer.

“Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal” will bow June 6, as will “The Dr. Laura Berman Show” — a second OWN show for Berman. “Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind” is slated for June 17; and “Carson Nation” will preem June 25.

OWN topper Peter Liguori (who is also Discovery’s COO) took over outgoing CEO Christina Norman’s duties when she ankled the cabler earlier in May; the exec is looking to boost ratings and create buzz, though Liguori’s assertion that the cabler’s vision needs to be “slow-cooked” would appear to be at odds with the rapid deployment of four new shows.

Produced by True, “Unfaithful” follows four couples attempting to weather marital infidelity. Hourlong “Laura Berman” will feature advice from the sex guru and is produced inhouse, as is Berman’s other OWN skein, “In the Bedroom.” Relativity Real will produce Carson Kressley starrer “Carson Nation.”

“Visionaries,” produced by @radical.media, will follow creatives including Tyler Perry, James Cameron and Tom Ford for seg-length studies of their methods, bios and successes.
