The original programming continues to flow at OWN as the network greenlit six half-hour segs of eOne unscripted series “Party at Tiffany’s,” a show about girls’ party planner Tiffany Young thatthe net is premiering after the midseason finale of recent success story “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” this coming Saturday.
The cabler’s parents, Discovery Communications and net prexy Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo, have doubled down on the major investment in the OWN, with originals coming thick and fast through the fall. The cabler, which will celebrate its first anniversary in January, continues to search for anchor programs like “Sweetie Pie’s” and “Our America with Lisa Ling” (one of the few launch titles to survive OWN’s initial months) around which to build a solid schedule.
